Pte Robert John Brimblecombe ... 

Died in an Accident at Ballylumford on 23rd June 1969.

2nd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.

Was buried with full military honours at Redburn Cemetery in Holywood. Co Down. The cemetery is located 400 yards from Palace Barracks, Holywood, Northern Ireland and was were he was stationed at the time of his death.

Pte Paul Carter. Aged 21. Shot and wounded outside the Royal Victoria Hospital in the Falls Road area of West Belfast, and Died the following day on the 15.09.1971. 2nd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Pte Robert Benner. Aged 25. While off duty he was abducted and executed by the IRA, his body was found near Crossmaglen County Armagh on the 29.11.1971. 3rd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Pte Richard Sinclair. Aged 18. Shot dead by a sniper while on foot patrol in Antrim Road, New Lodge Area of Belfast on the 31.10.1972. 1st Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Pte Stanley Evans. Aged 19.  Shot dead by a sniper while guarding an army search team who were searching a house in the Unity Flats Complex of West Belfast on the 14.11.1972. 1st Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Pte Peter Woolmore. Aged 21. Killed in a mortar bomb attack on Newtownhamilton Security Forces Base in County Armagh on the 19.03.1979. 3rd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Pte Alan Stock. Aged 22.  Killed by a remote controlled bomb which had been hidden in a wall and was detonated as his mobile patrol passed by, in the Creggan Area of Londonderry on the 15.10.1983. (Married) 2nd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Pte Neil Clarke. Aged 20. Shot dead by a sniper while on mobile patrol in Bishop Street in Londonderry on the 23.04.1984. 2nd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment ... thanks to John Blanchette for giving me the correct information (it goes to show that everyone of those killed are remembered to-day by their mates)


Cpl Alec Bannister. Aged 21. Shot by a sniper while on foot patrol outside the New Barnsley RUC/Army station in the Ballymurphy Area of West Belfast.  Cpl Bannister died in hospital three weeks later on the 08.08.1988. 2nd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.


Sgt Charles Chapman. Aged 34. killed when a booby trapped bomb exploded on the Army Vehicle which had been parked outside the Army Recruiting Office in Harrow Road in London on the 16.05.1990. (Married) ... He was sadly killed whilst he was on detachment from the 3rd Battalion to an Army recruitment office in London. 3rd Battalion The Queen’s Regiment.
