Royal Engineers EOD


Cpl Barney Warburton. Killed while attempting to render safe a large number of mines in Stari Vitez a central Bosnian Town in 1994.


Sapper Barrie Nicholas aged 19. Killed during a mine clearance operation on the outskirts of the central Bosnian town of Gornji-Vakuf in 1994.


Cpl Peter Bradley. killed while dealing with a M79 Heat Grenade in the town centre of Bugojno in Bosnia.on the 11th September 1999.


Army Air Corps


Sgt David John Kinsley. Aged 34. (4 Regiment Army Air Corps) Killed in a helicopter accident in Bunja-Luka in Bosnia on the 22nd December 1998. along with two other servicemen. Sgt Kinsley was married and had three children Christina (1986), Stacey (1990) and Kerry-Anne (1995) He is buried in all Saints Church, in Sutton.


Capt Philip Charles Henry Jarvis. Aged 27 (4 Regiment Army Air Corps) Killed in a helicopter accident in Bunja-Luka in Bosnia on 22nd December 1998. along with two other servicemen. Capt Jarvis was single.


Cpl Christopher John Addis. Aged 26 ( 4 Regiment Army Air Corps) Died of his injuries on the 31st December 1998 at the Bristol Frenchay Hospital. His injuries were sustained in the Helicopter Accident which killed two of his comrades in Bunja-Luka in Bosnia on the 22nd December 1998. Cpl Addis was married with no children and is buried at All Saints Church in Long Ashton nr Bristol


Royal Anglian

 

Captain Wormald. 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment in Bosnia April 1994 - Blown up by a mine whilst on patrol in a Landrover.

Sergeant Robert David Lyon

The Parachute Regiment (PARA), Aged 30, died as a result of a road traffic accident near Prozor, Bosnia and Herzegowina, on 8 May 1999.


Royal Welch Fusiliers

L/Cpl Wayne Edwards

L/Cpl Wayne Edwards of the Royal Welch Fusiliers who was attached to the Cheshire Regiment on peace keeping duties in Bosnia. He was killed on the 13th January 1993. L/Cpl Edwards was the driver of the lead warrior vehicle escorting an aid convoy through the town of Gornji Vacuf, where very heavy fighting between the Croats and Muslims was taking place. While crossing the bridge into Gornji Vacuf L/Cpl Edwards was hit by a single shot and died at the scene of his injuries. L/Cpl Edwards was part of the first British deployment to Bosnia. He was the first soldier to be killed in Bosnia.
