These memorial stones were brought from the various Bases which operated during the troubles in Northern Ireland between 1969 and 2007. The stones were laid by the various regiments in the locations they were serving in when they lost members of their  units due to terrorist actions.Locations like Bessbrook Mill.North Howard Street Mill. Crossmaglen,  Forkhill, Omagh, Cookstown and Antrim to name but a few, names that the thousands of servicemen and women who served on Op Banner during the years of the troubles will remember for the rest of their lives.

I was privileged to receive these Memorial Stones and to make them part of the Palace Barracks Memorial Garden. so that their names will always be remembered.
