Nothing to offer but respect. Every man an Emperor!
I am honouring all soldiers today , especially my brother sergeant david Parkinson who served in the coldstream guards having been called up in his teens in the 1950s to do his national service , he loved his regiment remained loyal to them , he joined the paras and was one of the first to be parachuted in to Cyprus during the troubles there in the fifties , I have a photo of him helping to feed young children who had suffered during the conflict there . I am so very proud as my parents were of his service he served a number of years in various countrys , he is today very ill in Australia , where he emigrated to in the sixties with his young wife and family , we as a family here and in Australia are praying for him god bless all our armed services and protect them while they do their duty at home and abroad . colleen lomas
I think of Dave Evans (Sgt) RE tragically taken away by an IED placed under his bed Ebrington Barracks, Derry 1976… Until we regroup Brother and talk of things past…
